Dr. Essra currently serves as Phoenix's education director. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Macquarie University, Sydney, Australia; a Master of Education in ESL from Acacia University, U.S.A., and a Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership from Acacia University, U.S.A. Essra is also a Professor of Education at Acacia University, U.S.A.
Essra has been in the education field for almost 20 years and has served a number of teaching roles in most grade levels and subjects including high school English, KG and primary homeroom (teaching English, Mathematics, Science and Social Studies). She has been in leadership positions for the past 6 years, positions include; Director of Curriculum and Instruction, KG, elementary, middle and high school principal, and school director.
Essra’s passion is improving education on all levels by leading schools, providing professional development and ensuring that the most effective, research-based strategies are being used in the classrooms of schools she works with. Despite challenges within this field, she believes that education is the most important foundation of any country or society. Her dream is to improve and impact education in the MENA region ensuring that students graduate with all the skills they’ll need in life and with the belief that they can make the world a better place.
